I always wear `sensible shoes` for work, for walking for gym etc. Only wear fashion shoes if going out (which isnt very often) but on my way to work this morning, even though its frosty, I saw a woman in high heels, a big woman overspilling in ballerina type shoes with no socks, and a man wearing open sandals. If I were to wear anything but `sensible shoes` for half an hour, I would be hobbling around for ther rest of the day and my feet would probably suffer for a day or two
There is a woman living opposite me who wears shorts and strappy t-shirts all year round, in winter she will put on a scarf when she goes out on her bike!
Think you're right LL. Did a late stint outside a couple of nightclubs with the Samaritans. I was absolutely frozen, but these young lads and lassies came in their droves, hardly a coat between them, lassies tottering on 5" heels and very short skirts/dresses and the lads with short sleeved shirts on. Maybe the alcohol kept them warm?
LL, you are right i expect, don't remember much about the 70's, it went by in a flash of partying, clubs, blokes, and great music. I wore a velvet purple hot pant suit, very classy i must say, or not...
I don't see anything unsensible about open sandals - not great at this time of year if you feel the cold, but fine if you don't. Presumably they don't do it if, like you, half an hour cripples them; but otherwise, they probably know their own feet better than you do?
em - You and I were obviously birds of a feather. Great, fun time and I made the most of it. (I had a black satin hotpant jump suit!!! - ha, ha) Suede hotpants to work and long kinky boots!!
If im buying heals that are at a good price I usually go to shoespie. The key is just to always look for good sales :) If you would like though you can ask for like Coach heels on your b-day or christmas, so that u can get reallyyyy cute heels haha :) Hope I helped!
