parked on a street in birmingham friday pay and display sign said you could park for max 2 hrs no return 2hrs , so 2 hrs passed and i hadnt finished so went out to move my car as i got there a parking warden was on same street so decided to ask if it was ok for me to just move my car to opposite street or did i have to move to different area he told me i didnt have to move my car just put a new display ticket on for how long i needed it for up to 2 hrs, i looked online and the way it reads to me is you cannot return to same street within 2 hours of your ticket running out so was parking attendant just being nice and letting me stay there ?

>>>so was parking attendant just being nice and letting me stay there?

Simple answer: Yes!
He was most definitely being nice! Here in our street, a neighbour was done for moving to the other side of the road before 2 hours had elapsed.
Yep, a nice warden.
Nice for sure!
Don't spread it around though, they'll sack him!
In a court case a few years ago, a local magistrate ruled that each line of marked bays constitued a separate parking area, and moving across, or along, the street to a different line of marked bays was perfectly allowable.

oh but would of been ok cos i had put another ticket on car so another warden would of thought i had only been there since time on new ticket ???
I met a nice friendly warden recently aswell.

I hadn't the change for a full hours pay and display so just paid for half an hour.

There was a queue at the tills, so I got back a bit late to find him hovering. He was very jovial and said I was four minutes over but they allow you five.
