NO! I was a catholic to the age of 10 when I realised it was total BS. Didn't give religion another thought until the last couple of years when I started watching Youtube videos on the subject.
No. And I don't believe in any afterlife, though I suppose atheists might get one, wanting it or not! I see no reason to elevate humans in death to a higher level to any other mammal, or, indeed, any other animal.
I was talking to a colleague a while ago. She said that after she had her daughter, she had 6 miscarriages. The last miscarriage was ectopic and she 'died'. She said that when she died, she felt an overwhelming feeling of love and the feeling was so overwhelming and peaceful that she didn`t want to come back to this world. She did though and she said that she carries that memory with her and it stops her feeling scared about dying.
