Was watching tv when a wood mouse joined me by the fire - it's obviously of superior intelligence cos have been setting a humane trap for about ten days now and each morning the bait has gone but no mouse. Anyway, set the trap and he ( or maybe she) strolled out, went in the trap, collected the bait, which sprung the trap then it just turned around and found a way out! Did it at least four times - it's really quite cute but think I have to catch it and put it outside as don't want it chewing cables. Have already thrown two hats and a pair of gloves away thanks to Micky or Minnie.

Borrow a cat or a dog for a few days the scent of them ought to discourage your little friend. Or if you have a friend with a dog encourage them to bring the pooch when they visit you, we were plagued by mice coming in from the cellars of the pub next door after my mum's dog died, only got rid of the little blighters when we got a cat - he never caught any in the house but his presence was enough.

I'm having a dog to stay for a couple of weeks over Christmas so maybe that will help.
They're clever little sods.

We've had one at work for ages and I have set up numerous traps but he just seems to Sugar his way around them. I have on more than one occasion found a trail of mouse poo the whole way around the trap, we was still there as I left it.

if it were just the one Evian I wouldn't mind - as I say it's really cute and I just loved the way it sauntered into the TV room and made itself at home - but I suspect there may be more. I have no problems with it really but am just a bit concerned about it/them/hordes chewing wires.
Everywhere mice walk they pee. Do you really want that all over your kitchen?
