I'm not certain but I think that the thread you're referring to was posted by a user with 'Fred' in their name.

'Fred' has (through what he has posted) shown himself to be a banned user. He has turned up under countless usernames (but all with 'Fred' as part of the name) over the past week or so. I've banned him on at least half a dozen occasions, including twice tonight. (But other moderators have beaten me too it on far more occasions). His most recently zapped thread was probably the one which you're referring to.
