strap/tape it the the one next to it?
If it's not bent or anything...be brave and strap it up. I broke my finger not so long ago and had it strapped at the hospital. Impatient me took the strapping off after about 4 or 5 days...big mistake.!!
ALWAYS seek medical advice for a suspected broken bone.

Yes you should go to your doctor. I know there is not a lot they can do for a broken toe but I broke mine two years ago and didn't bother doing anything and it is now permanently bent and swollen. At least you should get it strapped up.

Yer I think strapping it I cnt sleep aches like hell! Its gona be one of those 2 or 3 weeks one aint it!

I done it on sunday wil pop to doc in morning, it looks like I have bright purple nail varnish on, might loose the nail 2 err
Depends on the break. If it's not bent or at an odd angle there is little they can do with it. Same as fingers and I've broke enough of them..!!! Strapping them makes it more comfortable and less painful.
Drill a hole in your nail & squeeze the blood out.

Well u wudnt wana c it not a pretty site just one of those things guess we cnt avoid injury!
If your toe looks like that that's probably what's causing the pain. It's probably not broken at all. You need RHPC treatment...

I can't bend it! At all :( just gona rest thanx for everyones advice
Same advice as given by the "strapping brigade" + Ibuprofen 400mgms when necessary up to every 6hours.
Strap it up with the adjoining toe, which will act as a splint. (as what the advises) That is about all they will do in a hospital.

I have done it three times now!!!
Just strap it not much to be done. Fingers are different and need attention
strap it lie on couch eat lots of chocolate
i agree with Mr.owdhamer
I broke a bone in one of my toes (5th metatarsal). I went to A&E and left with crutches. Later I switched to an inflatable boot and in time it healed. It will need an X Ray to establish if anything is broken and I would get down to A&E with a good book!
