Does anyone else do this? When walking down the street and someone in front lights up I always have a dilema should I speed up and go past or drop back further to avoid inhaling their digusting filth? I have to then judge their walking speed to determine. While we are at it, how come no matter what direction the wind is or no matter how strong the smoke always drifts backwards from the death tube sucker? Come on smokers show some consideration to us walkers and stop it please!

When the smoking ban came in I wasn't bothered and just went for a cigarette once in the morning and once in the afternoon. Then the whingers started on about answering my phone when I wasn't there. No problem.............I started working from home so could smoke and have as many coffees as I wanted, and it cost the company approx 5k to set my office up.
craft.....stop smoking and I will come over and take you for a "slap up tea" at Bety´s in York......I´ll even go 50/50 with the bill.
I'd rather have a Harry Ramsden's than a Betty's.... Treat craft, then dump the old bugger and take me for a bag o'chips x Now there's romance......... ;-)

Thanks sqad...........I've had better offers ...salla he's all yours. One thing I did find surprising on reflection was that none of my husbands/boyfriends were smokers, yet none, apart from the first ex, complained about me smoking.
I'd love to know where all these place of employment are that just let smokers wander off outside for a smoke when ever they please!

I've worked for about 15 companies now and I have never worked for one that lets employees smoke at any time other than official breaks.
I'm just amazed at all these people who get tea breaks, let alone fag breaks. We get half an hour for lunch and that's our lot - if you want a cup of tea you go and get it, and bring ti back to your desk.
I smoked for about 50years, I didn't smoke a lot while at work, but when I retired there was a time when I managed 15-20 cigarettes a day. I don't smoke now but I don't mind if someone lights up in my company.
What I do object to is people who are so intolerant of others who smoke, eat outside, fart, etc.etc. their holier than thou arm waving nonsense really gets my goat. Get a life.
Actually Youngmafbog you are worng with your little rounding up scenario for the time it takes me to have a smoke from 5 minutes to 10. We are made to clock out via our Pc's when we leave our desk and then we clock back in we return. The wonders of modern technology eh.
