Is there any benefit to your health by having a cold shower after having a normal warm one?

For years I've been having a morning shower in the normal way, then turning the dial to the coldest setting for 30 seconds at the end.

the hot shower opens up your pores and cleanses them.... the cold closes them before they get blocked again
The scandinavians dive into cold baths after hot sauna's don't they? There must be something good about it - a hot shower will open all your pores up and help release the dirt and then a cold one will close them all up again so the dirt can't get in as easy. It leaves your skin feeling invigorated doesn't it?

I know when I rinse my hair (after washing) with cold water, it always comes out a lot shinier than if I rinse with hot/warm water.
yeah i always do this too after a shower its supposed to make your hair shiny
yep i do this too. for both the "porey" reason and the "hairy" reason lol. sometimes it seems verrrrrry cold thou *brr*
I always do it. Not really for any possible health benefits, but mainly to help wake me up in the morning because I start work at 7am, so am normally in the shower at 5.45 !
as well as the above reasons.....you will also give a quick tone up to your whole body...as every muscle tenses itself!!!
