im sorry to have offended those who have been affected by suicide, i have to. I shouldnt really joke about it, someone very close to me was found in the don valley canal, he jumped coz he was depressed. He died of what they called dry drowning. I have also been to the brink of death and back twice, first attempt was that i cut all my arm, not just veins...lost heaps of blood, but they managed to stabilise me, then i did it again several years later by taking every tablet i found in the house (a cocktail of drugs as they call it) and went to sleep, woke up 3 days after being in a coma, sister told me what had happened, so i deal with it differently and i believe that those who kill themselves are selfish....i neva thought about those who were going to be left behind, i only thought about me me me and that was selfish.

Suicide is not selfish....it's desperate. My cousin has just left....her mother committed suicide when she was 12. She found her body in the morning. She doesn't think her mother was selfish.

sorry ummms cousin, u poor daarling, how do you know your mum wasnt being selfish.................people should realise that they should be grateful to be living in a lovely country that provides you with anything you need....look at all the poor people living in slums, they dont top themselves, they keep going, they are grateful for life. I feel bad for saying this but i think it was selfish leaving a 12 year old to find your body.

Suzie we all know people who have been to the brink and indeed some who have gone beyond it, I did not see your previous post and am glad you apologise. Body and soul section is good to discuss problem issues and not get flippant answers (as was mine earlier, which I hope didn`t offend anyone)
