My niece was like that too - she is now a healthy 16 year old. The health visitor told my sister not to make mealtimes into a battleground, but also not to offer anything between meals, not even fruit or glasses of milk. She said once a child was hungry enough they would eat!

Is your granddaughter still taking milk from a bottle? If so, try cutting back and/or replacing with water.

what does her mum say?
My mother used to give me Malt Extract to "build me up" when I was a child. I thought it was the greatest taste in the world. I still see it in chemists, and I'm tempted to buy a jar.

Her mum says the same as me and the bottom line is you cannot force feed them actually her mum was a little the same she went through a time when all she would eat was boiled eggs .

She drinks full fat milk her mum is reluctant to stop her  because at least you think she is getting some substinance .I used to take malt extract as a child as well loved it.
if she's fit and healthy, bright, alert and active, there's nothing to worry about.  Ensure food never becomes a point of conflict, and never make a fuss about her not eating.  No child has ever starved to death, and they will eat when they need to.  The full fat milk is great.....no reason to stop that at all - why would you??  Children under 5 shouldn't have a fat restricted diet, and should only ever get full fat milk.

Apart from silently screaming and wanting to bash your head against a wall I think you will have to just except that some children are just like this for a while with food. I have 3 of the little devils and they have all been the same, my youngest is almost 2 and 2/3 spoonfulls are her limit.

I just offer small amounts at a time, if all going well sneak a bit more on the plate, but if refused I do a small amount of gental encouragement and then remove it so as not to have a fuss made (silently screaming and wanting to bash head comes into force here) but I always offer something afterwards as I would if she had eaten it all as she loves her fruit and yoghurt.
