I have a continual problem with liverwort in my garden - probably because I live in an area with a very high rainfall. My flowerbeds are covered in it and, although I continually remove as much as I am able to, it returns quickly as I am unable to remove it all due to the fact that it grows amongst the plants in the border. Does anyone know of any spray that can be used on it? I also suffer from it in areas of gravel where there are no other poants to be harmed by spray. Roundup appears to have no effect on it.

Thanks for the link.

I had found that site myself but it did not tell me much. I do not find that Glyphosate kills it in the gravel driveway we have. Also, it is impossible to hoe off it all, or scrape it, when it grows right over my herbaceous plants. I guess I'll have to live with it!!

I find sprinkling soda crystals onto leverwort kills it very effectively, BUT where do you find large quantities of soda crystals? A 1kg bag from the supermarkets costs about 50 pence, but with a 4 acre garden that doesn't go very far. HAS ANYBODY TRIED A FLAME GUN?
