You go into your local shop to simply buy a cake and there is a customer in front of you in the queue who is taking ages to decide what to have and she says to the assistant 'serve this lady first' and the assistant says 'I wouldn't call her a lady' and the customer says to me 'I'm not sure what she (the assistant) would call you then' and the assistant says 'I would call her a young girl'

I just laughed it off. Honestly I just go to simply buy a cake. How are you supposed to handle these situations?

I would be thrilled to be called a young girl!

I think I would have said that I was a young lady, smiled and left sharpish!!

lol I am 20 so I would rather be called a young lady but didn't want to say so cus it would have upset someone so I just laughed.

I would be a bit miffed being called a young girl, although it would make a change from 'get out of the ladies changing rooms you dirty old man'.

C'est la vie.

some people look quite young as a 20 year old, take luke from bb, he is 20 but could pass for younger
it's strange that you call yourself karmGIRL but are now posting this and saying you prefer to be called LADY why wouldn't you call yourself KarmLADY if you really felt this way.
Or go fully Arabic with your name and call yourself bent vineyard?
