Hi again, everyone. I thought I'd start another post, to let you all know what's been happening. This morning, my lovely old cat Cassie (she's almost 11) came crawling through the cat flap, bleeding profusely from her back & front right legs. I took her straight to the vet and she said she'd been very badly beaten up by another cat. I suspect it was the same one who ultimately caused Monty's death. Poor Cass has been at the vet's all day, but is now home, still battered and sore. I saw the damn cat again this afternonn, when it tried to get in through the cat flap to Cleo, who was trying to get out at the time. I'm not letting the girls out at all until I can trap that cat and get rid of it. The other thing is that the vet has a little black kitten in, who has had to have a leg amputated after a run in with a car. She's only about 5 or 6 weeks old and my vet is looking for a home for her. I've (foolishly?) said I'll have her, but not till tomorrow evening, so Cass can have some time to settle back home after today. Oh, boy, why me, Lord????

Love Misha, great name, and using an M like Monty is perfect. what a handsome boy he is, and you are right he is like my Cyder. I will get some up to date pics to upload, so you can see how alike they are.
you have many friends out here and we are all so sad for your loss but happy you have opened your heart and home to little Misha. Keep us up to date on the progress of both girls

Cassie's doing really well - almost back to normal. She's able to jump up to where I normally feed the cats (I have to feed them up on the sink unit, otherwise the dogs nick their food!) whereas last week, I had to feed her in my bedroom, on the floor 'cos she could hardly walk. I've let them all (not Mischa, obviously) out for a short while over the weekend and they went out again this afternoon for an hour or so. No sign of the bully yet, although I'm sure he'll turn up.
Mischa is exploring the living room at the moment, being followed (at a distance!) by Cleo. She's getting braver as the days pass!! K
