Following on from legend's Q, I have what Mr Boo calls a "mummy tummy", which roughly translates to a (small!) spare tyre with stretch marks on it.

Now I detest this part of me and really hate it when he touches it, however he reckons he loves it as its part of me and it's only there as i've given birth to his baby yada yada yada....

Now my Q is, is he talking complete and utter rubbish? Do ya reckon he probably thinks it's gross as well but it's here to stay so he might as well accept type it of thing? Or could he genuinely believe the flannel he tells me?

I'm a dab hand on Photoshop, BOO, so I know just how much those model types are airbrushed!! Trust me, bodies like that aren't a reality.

We just have to make the best with what we've got, but at the same time stay as natural as possible. What a bloomin' contradiction eh! Now where are my chocolate covered raisins..
It doesn't bother me if a woman has a mummy tummy in the slightest. Attraction in all it's forms is way more than a bit of excess weight and a few stretch marks. If the woman concerned has had your child they can actually enhance her attractiveness and certainly don't detract in any way. Stop moaning ladies, believe your men, you're lovely.

Hi, B00! :o)

My mum and sister both have 'mummy tummies', too, and hate them. I'm not keen on mine as it is, but I think I'll end up with one, too. :o(

My sister's ex used to say it was his favourite part of her and she always thought he was taking the michael.

I've just been sent this email, funnily enough...

An English Love Poem
(Who said British men aren't romantic?)

Of course I love ya darling
You're a bloody top Notch bird
And when I say you're gorgeous
I mean every single word

So ya bum is on the big side
I don't mind a bit of flab
It means that when I'm ready
There's somethin' there to grab

So your belly isn't flat
I tell ya, I don't care
So long as when I cuddle ya
I can get my arms round there

No woman who is your age
Has nice round perky breasts
They just gave in to gravity
But I know ya did ya best

I'm tellin ya the truth now
I never tell ya lies
I think its very sexy
That you've got dimples on ya thighs

I swear on me grannies grave now
The moment that we met
I thought you was as good as
I was ever gonna get

No matter wot you look like
I'll always love ya dear
Now shut up while the soccer's on
And fetch another beer

:o) x
Society judges you on the way you look and the way you behave. Most people try to control both, so that they are perceived the way they wish to be. Some are victims of nature and some by other means. There is a saying (or a prayer for the fundamentalists):

grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change;
the courage to change the things I can;
and the wisdom to know the difference

In true appreciation of my own ethical and religious upbringing, I recognise that my body is a temple, where junk food goes to worship. Amen.

hahaha, excellent poem WS, love it!
Boo, I agree with what paul says, the important thing is it's part of you, and that's why your man likes it so and it reminds him of when you were pregnant carrying beautiful Ava, we do all have imperfections and that IS what makes us different from the next person, also you can get rid of it, I did ; )
I think he probably loves it boo.

I hate every single part of my body, hmm, apart from maybe my nose and my hair and I was never convinced the ex infection liked any of it either so I didnt like him touching me at all, esp not the last couple of years we were together. I am trying to adopt an if you dont like it you can lump it attitude but have found dieting and excercise is the only thing that makes me feel happier about it all.
Wow!
An "I like you" from the Mighty Boo! That's the nicest thing anyone's said to me for at least six weeks.
Betty, my love, you have your priorities so right. And a big hug for that boyfriend who knows what a treasure he's got.
There you go Boo - she said it for all of us
im sure it adds character to you boo.
maybe.
lol
If he loves your body so much, why would he want to look at them? If he loves you but not your body, that's different. Emotional and physical. Sometimes you get both together, sometimes only one or the other.
When I say 'you', I don't mean anyone specifically; just using it in a general way.
