I'm sorry, but i'm going to bore you with hair again (at least it's a topic that can't cause an arguement, i think :-))))

I have to wash my hair everyday and it gets very boring and repeatative.

I have bright red splashes in my hair and because i wash it everyday, the colour doesn't last a month and so is very expsnsive to maintain.
My hair gets greasy very easily and this is why i have to wash it everyday

I want to keep the colour, but....

My question is, is there a great shampoo that keeps colour in your hair for longer..? :-)

Any tips on how to stop my hair going so greasy, i.e any conditioners you have used or serums?

Any hairstyles that cover up scabby looking hair..

Apart from the colour stripping out - It takes me 2 hours everynight to do all my hair :-(

Thanks in lots of advancey wanceys :-)

L'Oreal Elvive do a colour-keeping shampoo. My daughter uses it and it seems to do the trick.

Smells lovely, too.
at times like this im glad im a boy, thats just way to much hard work! 2 hours to do hair! Thats equivelent to 4 pints of drinky time! where do you find time?

Richard the baldy alacaholic!
Agree with earlier post - elvive (red one I think) is for colourd hair. Also I have the same problem so what I tend to do is use shampoo and a splash of conditioner, so its a bit like a 2-in-1 that I mix myself. Seems to be better than buying a normal 2-in-1!

You can buy this stuff from boots in a can called dry shampoo.....you spray it in your hair in the greasy bits and it forms a white powder whic you rub in your roots and you can get another day out of your hair, before you have to wash it. I think it comes in a green aerosol but I know that lee stafford makes one too (in a pink can and more expensive)...It's worth a try.....

If the water you use to wash your hair is too hot it will make it greasier as heat stimulates the oil glands.
Shampoos with tea tree in will keep it drier as I think its an astringent.
Dry shampoo works well in blonde/lighter hair colours as it sits on the hair (white).
Your red flashes will also grow out as well as fade tho wont they, loreal do good colour saving stuff.... because your worth it !
