painting internal brickwork

i want to paint an internal brick outhouse it has already a few coats of white masonary paint on it can i use emulsion paint or do i have to use masonary paint again to paint it, its just that there is more choice of colours in emulsion

I'd stick to masonry paint. You can get a full range of colours in Dulux weathershield at the DIY sheds.
If there's any damp around, you might find that the emulsion would start to peel off from the masonry paint. Best do as Carrust says.
