Ha, ha. It's a word I have used for a few years now. I wish people a Happy Betwixmas it I'm messaging them over these next few days. Especially friends and family who I won't have seen at Christmas but maybe arrange if meet up with soon.

Happy Betwixmas all.

I think we need a word for those dead days when nothing happens, hardly anyone is back at work and we're milling around still stuffing on leftovers.

Twixmas will do. I'm not going to say Happy Twixmas to anyone though.

Please don't take my name in vain!

Happy holidays all 😀

We've had some good twixmas breaks in the past, nice relaxing hotel with good food and entertainment at a bargain rate.

I think it's a good word (a) becasuse it describes a real recognisable thing - everybody knows that flat week between two holidays (it's a lot livelier in Australia, of course) and (b) because it's not simply evicting an older word.

god what are you all doing up at this time?

just awoke ( cant be left alone and d 22 post transplant)  - er this is within 12 d of Xmas - christmas week, perhaps ?

time to go back to bed....

I guess that my anathema is really roused by all the junk spam e-mails which use the expression, not by the expression itself which is rather twee 😀

I'm all for it, if I can celebrate with double barrelled chocky bars

to avoid religious offence, how about Twinterval?

avoid religious sensitivites

this is like calling Diwali - Festival of Light or eid al fitr -  'Break fast'

'Religious offence', that's a two way street if ever I saw one.

Just had an email from Halfords, asking if I was in "chrimbo-limbo"...

yuletide - I knew there was an old word

compare with Old Norse jól, originally applied to a pagan festival lasting twelve days, later to Christmas.

for willie watchers we have the Feast of the Circumcision or Feast of the pesentaiton ( Jan 1st) coming up

shows the humanity of Christ ( which is why he cd be crucified and cd die - gods dont usually do that)

and then returns post resurrection as Divine

dual nature of Christ

( too much detail  - this  is AB)
