There are some things I used to eat and enjoy but now really couldn't face. They include Heinz Toast Toppers, Heinz Sandwich Spread, Fray Bentos tinned steak pies, Vesta Curries and Findus Crispy Pancakes.

What foods can you no longer eat?

Tom Pipers tinned Irish Stew. I believe originally called McConachys.
Hamburger Helper...don't know if it's sold here but use your imagination ;)
Another American horror...Cheez Whiz
Cup-a-soups
Those mini jars of spreads
Any kind of breakfast cereal
When I worked at the drop-in, I saw enough Fray Bentos pies to put me off them forever. So many got donated, they were served weekly. The clients loved them.
Ketchup, Fish
Meringue.

I used to like home made chewy in the middle meringue, years since I had any.
Never liked that nasty dry, powdery shop meringue
Fray Bentos tinned pies, love 'em. Chips and mushy peas to go with. The only problem I have is the meat seems to have got rather mean of late.

As for Pot Noodles, give me a large Bombay Bad boy any day. Cracking lunch snack.

Vesta curries I wouldnt eat now, nor Heinz sandwich toppers. And sweet potatoes are just odd.
Coming from the ,then, port of Lowestoft I was brought up on a diet of winkles, cockles, mussells, whelks, shrimps. I still like shrimps, the others I couldn't face. We used to go to the wet fish shop and get a pint of brown shrimps, window open to the world, fish all out on a counter open to the street, sawdust on the floor - those were the days. We also had lots of sprats, I remember mum sliding them out of the frying pan onto my plate.

I love all of those, roo.
Barry, I might if I could bring myself to eat them again, with lots of vinegar, of course
I must say that I am not enamoured with Heinz Baked Beans any longer, they now come across as being a 'bit sour'. Add to your list Heinz salad cream...bleugh - I much prefer Hellman's Mayo and, even better, homemade.... Last one, Youngs' Fish steaks, watery and tasteless.
Question Author
I've never seen Young's Fish Steaks, will certainly avoid. I love fish, prefer to buy it 'wet' but it is getting harder to find.
