This often happens on celebrity versions of quizzes. Tonight on The Chase Shaun Wallace gave at least one intentional wrong answer: no way did he really think the surrealist painter was Matisse rather than Magritte, and he spent ages trying to come up with answers before passing. Of course, the team won.

I wonder if it's we oldies who knew it, having been brought up watching cowboy programmes and films? Not many people watch those these days. I impressed myself by thinking It's the only one I've never been to!
The later question on the distance from the Mexican border surprised me, one of them said that San Diego is, or used to be, a place for day trips into Mexico then went for San Antonio!

Regarding San Diego and San Antonio.Richard Osman still had his phone a friend left so it seems odd to me that because he nor Jeremy Clarkson(ask the host lifeline) were not exactly sure he didn't use that lifeline also.Not sure,he then "gambled" £32,000 on a guess, probably in the interests of good t.v..

Also,I read that a lot of people complained about Charlotte Church using Mark Labett aka The beast as her phone a friend.They stated that as he had been a competitor before he couldn't be on again but I have seen previous celebrity WWTBAM where quiz champions have been used as phone a friend.

I did not know the answer to that question. I have no interest in that period of American history and have never watched a Western film. I'm a lot older than Charlotte Church.
