Not at all rude, alba. I find that just reading recipes fills me up these days. I've been portion sizing for about 8 mths. now and my appetite has really shrunk. I've got a spagh. bol. simmering away right now and I'm already doubting my ability to eat more than a couple of spoonsful of it. :(
Mr Alba made lunch last sunday, enjoyed what I had, most tasty but couldn't finish it off (like I used to to)
J2 xx I love spag bol.
Parmesan to go on top?
Had to do the cheese thingy when all 3 albas were out of the kitchen cos they couldn't stand the aroma. Bunch of wusses lol
Just pop round here for breakfast. I'll give you what I have - a banana and a bowl full of real oatmeal porridge. None of your instant stuff - this has been gently simmered for hours. And as much coffee as you can drink. See you tomorrow ?
Your welcome at mine anytime, I have an appetite but can't eat (eyes are bigger than my stomach) so I cook too much and end up eating it for days if I am not careful.
Oh Alba, I can't wait to get back for my haggis and Square sausage and proper seafood and proper tablet!! Roll on November
Your hubby sounds super fussy - so unusual for a Scotsman, didn't his mammy tell him to eat all his food when he was small?
ooooh, tablet, now there's a sweetie I haven't had for ages, allegedly there's a village brand in my neighbourhood, will have to look out for it and send you some
(somehow!)
Oh bless you thank you. Do you know so many of the table these days has vanilla in it, my mum never put vanilla in it (she was from the East Coast).
I have tried making it but its just gloopy! So I'm not sure how my stomach will take it now but I will give it a go in November
Yes indeed - the good thing is that the independent bakers still exist in many towns - unlike England where the ghastly Greggs bought out so many of them and promptly shut them down in favour of their blandly offensive carp
