Hello ABer's.

I have some Upright Geraniums, but unfortunately this awful weather has taken the flowers and it's buds off leaving just stalks.

Please can anyone advise me in what to do. Do I leave the stalks, cut them back or something else please?

Thanks,

I think I would be inclined to remove the stalks, like you do when dead heading, hopefully that would encourage the plants to produce more flowers.

Stalks from flowers I would shorten and once the weather improves the it should recover. I keep mine over-winter in a shed and they recover. I haven`t got any with flowers yet, a bit early. Hope this helps.

Thank you Nannakath.

I bought them with beautiful white flowers but the wind has ripped them off and simply left stalks. Not happy!

Okay, the stalks are about 7 inches tall, so how low should I cut them back please?
