I've only ever slept on Dunlopillo mattresses...wouldn't have anything else. They should be used on a slatted base....so, if your current base isn't wooden slats, you'll need a new base too.
Other natural latex mattresses are available btw...and probably less expensive (but not as good!)
well a new post re the mattress - no I haven't got the new one yet as I have to get flood dealt with. Insurance coming in the morning.
Anyway all this week my back has been braaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaking when I get up and only eases a tiny bit when I am going back to bed.
Anyway have not reversed the mattress but put the top to the bottom (if that makes sense) - does say on label "no turn mattress" and also 5 years guarantee. I would say I have it now 10 or maybe more years. It is pocket sprung 1,700 and I knew I picked "SOFT" but it was hard enough over the years. Very hard to turn a mattress which was very heavy with strength of only one arm.
Sorry for wittering - but I have glanced over quite a number of posts that were submitted over the years re mattresses and there are an alarming mixed reviews. I really don't know what to go for.
If a male assistant is helping me in the stores I am too embarrassed to bounce on the beds.
I do think bouncing on the beds doesn't give you an inkling of what you are in for.
well eccles if you read some of the posts I have been told to try the beds perhaps more than bounce - cos really I don't think there are any bouncy beds
each to their own, the message being that you need to try it and if you need to bounce, then go ahead.....it's your bed to be - bouncing being for whatever reason but nudge, nudge......lol. I would say that if you have a good frame and base, then the mattress should be comfortable but if you are on old springs or slats, well then change out.
Thanks LB - I am sorta sceptical re pocket sprung again since the one I have had 1700 springs and it was SOFT but as I have said it was hard enough over the years.
Did notice that that link the mattress was medium/hard - I definitely would be looking for Soft. I'll keep on looking and trying.
