A few examples of predictions ,made by the programme , which are part of normal daily life now .

it was an extraordinary programme, one we used to watch all the time, interesting that they are bringing it back, i wonder quite what inventions they will come up with for our children's future

It went on until 2003 then ! It seems to have been off the screen far longer. Bet the new style turns out to be nothing like the old. Probably Gadget Show style.

I don't think they are actually bringing it back. Looks like they are using the name as an umbrella term for a series of science programs

It was an amazing programme of its time. With the speed of access to news and technology today it would never find a place on tv. I used to enjoy particularly the contributions by Raymond Baxter.

I remember someone on the show talking about how you could eat your breakfast off a CD and then play it. Revolutionary at the time. You couldn't do that with vinyl!
I think it was Maggie Philbin? Is she still around?
