We're having 7-hour leg of lamb, roasties, mint sauce, cavolo nero, sprouts and chestnuts, broccoli, carrots and peas and lashings of gravy.

Rocky... it was Jamie Oliver's 7-hour lamb cooked at 120 degrees. I am converted! I'll never cook my lamb any other way now.

Gness, I did titter as I typed my previous post ;)

Gin... kalettes made it on to our Xmas and NYD dinners. We love them.

Dave, did you sup up all that delectable Zin you brought round to mine that time? I salivate every time I think about it...
EcclesCake, I have tickled a trout but never felt up a mackerel.
Sounds interesting though.

Kept it simple tonight as it was my turn, Roast Chicken, Roast Tatties and (brace yourselves) a huge pile of Sprouts with loadsa gravy.
I've got half a case left, NoM - if you can get your bum over here for dinner I'll split a bottle with you :)
Too idle to cook
Duck in orange sauce and chips
Son 2 came with his g/f and we had roast haunch of venison (fallow) that he shot some time ago, roast onions and pots, carrot batons, cabbage and Yorkshires awash with rich gravy.
Followed by (bought) sticky toffee pud and custard.
Yummy!!
I've made myself feel hungry now, that venison was lush...
I bet it was, love roasted onions too.
Actually, they were shallots, used the last onion on a corned beef sarnie at lunch.
