D-Tel headline today "Flawed Victoria fizzes with enough energy to dethrone po-faced Poldark."

Discuss......

One brilliant comment in the article, "I've never cared for Poldark - always thought it camp drivel- Clive James once observed that it was an anagram of 'Old Krap' - with pretensions to be historical truth."

I quite enjoyed the Victoria opener last night.....how are they going to age Jenna Coleman?

Enjoyed it. Looks promising. Second episode on now at 9pm.
Maybe they won't...I think the series is supposed to focus on the early years of her reign.
She's also rather slim...compared to early photos of Victoria.
I'm enjoying it so far, particularly Rufus Sewell. Victoria's clothes still in existence from the time of the coronation say she was tiny with a 22 inch waist - not at all how she ended up.
Enjoyed it Jenna Coleman is prettier than Victoria from the pictures we have seen of Victoria and apparently Victoria spoke with a German accent but will keep watching to see how she ages
They're not going to age her: it's only about the first 3 years of her reign
Very good .I love a costume drama of any sort .I reckon it could be a runner like Downton if they get the viewing figures.
It's got a good cast with Rufus Sewell and I see Peter Bowles was in it tonight as Wellington.
I like Poldark as well though ,read all the books years ago and have the original series on DVD.I remember me and my Mum being glued to it on a Sunday evening and the remake is pretty good .
