I done the same a few months back, I think I should have rested and iced mine more than I did, I was limping for about 3 months!

It really depends on how much damage was done.
they say 6 weeks of pain but I have still have 8 eight years of pain (not 8 weeks) - mild tho.

Try and get a bit of physio - my brother used when he lay down used to twist foot constantly and it got a bit stronger.

thankyou jennyjoan, 6 weeks !!!!!!!! x
I have no idea how long the pain will last, but with your description and the use of Iburofen,it should only last a couple of weeks.

Gentle exercise should be the order of the day......gentle.

thankyou sqad xx
A good physio will see you right. If you are inactive for too long due to pain, it can result in muscles weakening. I don't know if there is an alter-G treadmill anywhere near you (google!) but they are amazing machines to get you back to walking normally and as you are weightless it doesn't hurt!
