I was lying on my big comfy settee last night watching dull-ache TV - I lifted my legs off to get something from the kitchen.  Next thing the most excruciating pain boomed into my right ankle.  The pain was awful.  This is the good leg - not the one I hurt in August.  My neighbour was in on Tuesday and left her walking stick behind and it was lying handy.  I reached over to it and used it for a minute or two.

Don't know what the hell it was - it felt as if I had strained the ankle.  Thankfully this morning pain is still there but not as painful.

This oul body is completely shutting down.  I'm sick of being sick.

I think we all get unexpected pains as we age. I rarely know what causes mine, I just hope they go soonest.

I'm sick of the aches and pains, too, JJ.

Ah Barry you're still keeping fit with all the exercise you can do.  That's great for physicality and your mental health.  Well done.

I had something similar in January. I parked my car in my driveway, after touring around all morning without incident. I opened the car door, stepped out, and, as soon as I put my weight on my right leg, I had a dreadful pain from thigh to foot. The leg would not hold me up. I began to sink to the ground (my left leg was still inside the car), my wife could not support me. Fortunately, the next-door neighbour was there, and, between them, they helped me into the house. A visit to hospital that evening revealed nothing amiss. I am now living on my nerves, wondering if that will occur again.

I had a similar experience a few weeks ago, all I did was to turn over in bed and the pain was excruciating, trip to hospital and xray and scan ...... I had dislocated my hip!!
Makes you afraid to flipping move around.

I know the feeling, but I tend to bring it on myself. I have to use a full arm brace to lugg the monsters out of the lakes.

I dare say I will be suffering most of the summer. :0(((
