Can anyone tell me how i can find out the weather and windspeed for the 11th August 2008 and the 18th August 2008 for London as we had severe wind and rain which damaged my roof but insurance company wont pay for repairs unless i can find out the wind speed.

Got to this on the BBC site from weather http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/ukweather/year_re view/ .I would guess it's in there somewhere

Try the met office by email to confirm a wind speed. Or if not them - depending on where you are in London - if you have no luck with the Met Office- ask one of the aerodromes at Elstree,Farnboro' , Biggin Hill or Denham if they can help you as wind speed would be something they would be interested in knowing to operate safely.

This site has weather history for airports in the world.
London . Heathrow will be there. London City Airport may be as well.
