passport info, it says going to belgium etc you need a min of 3 months on the passport as belgium is in the schengen area and the uk is not
on another web site it say you only have to have it valid for the time of your stay in my case 5 days

"Your passport must be:

Issued less than 10 years before the date you enter the country (check the ‘date of issue’)valid for at least 3 months after the day you plan to leave (check the ‘expiry date’)

You must check your passport meets these requirements before you travel. If your passport was issued before 1 October 2018, extra months may have been added to its expiry date."

Yep.

A bit of a sobering thought that you now need a visa for stays of more than 90 days.
Another winner for Brexit.
Do many go for more than 90 days?
Yes, people winter there, particularly Spain, with a motorhome.
My mother & step-father used to regularly winter in Majorca for 4-5 months in a holiday apartment complex, along with many other Brits, escaping our cold climate.
Presumably they would know when they were going so could apply for a visa in time. most of the World needs a visa to get into Belgium.
bobbin... You have to pay for a visa and you have to apply to one of only two centres in the UK, and visit them in person. Prior to Brexit a visa was not required at all. Of course brexit fans think all this is a trivial price to pay to achieve our 'freedom', but it's a pain in the ass for we who are now treated by Europe in the same way they treat the rest of the non EU world.

Is there a chance to get an ID faster than a passport?
