I have an Epson C64 series Photo Edition printer, but when printing the paper begins to move then stops and isn't taken into the printer to complete its print run, while the printer continues as if it is. Any ideas why the paper seems 'snagged'...there's nothing in the way to stop it and I always flick the paper to make sure it's free of the sheets behind. Ta Muchly.

The C64’s paper path is very simple – try loading the printer with a single sheet of paper. If this fails, try a heavier weight, card material – give it a helping hand (gently pushing it through when the printer tries to pick up the paper). You could try altering the paper path width, and cut a sheet to size – and see how you get on.

If you suffered a paper jam immediately before experiencing the problem, check the print area very carefully for any remains of paper which may be blocking the path.

You could also try a slightly damp lint-free cloth, giving any accessible paper feed rollers a clean – to remove any crud/paper dust which may be causing the problem.
Or do you have a lever, usually visible when the front door is open, that is set at envelope print instead of paper. The roller space will then be set too wide to roll ordinary paper through.

Thanks Hymie, I tried the single sheet and that worked okay...it had no option really; except to stick of course...but I'll try with more sheets and gently nudge. I have altered the tray width, but problems still persist, but I'll try the damp cloth too. Wildwood, will check out whether printer has a lever or not. Thanks Both.
That is funny because I have a HP photosmart 7150 which prints perfectly on card or paper.

But I tried to print on a slightly heavier grade paper, the only other difference being it was orange in colour.

The printer began taking in the printer but then stopped while it's light shone on the paper, the paper then went further in, but it did not print.

I then got the message up 'paper jam, don't try and pull it through from the front, remove from the back of the printer'

I cancelled the print job, pressed the error button, and the paper came out of the printer from the front.

Iv'e tried evertything it still refuses to print on this paper160/gm2.
