sd card in laptop

hi, have been told if i pop my sd card from my digital camera into the slot at front of laptop i can then download them.i am doing this but nothing happens when i do this? any ideas? thanks

Try going to my Computer and see if you can see it there if so open it that way..

just tried that mr k but only shows c drive and f drive(cd drive)!

is it pushed all way in, is it in the right way? As soon as you put it in properly the file should come up on screen

hi 4getmenot,yes have made sure it is pushed in till it clicks(4 or 5 times now)with no joy.
its worked previously but not now for some reason?

Try it in another pc or back in your camara and let us no if the pics are there ..

hi mr k,my camera is loaned out for a few weeks but have tried previous sd cards in laptop with the same result...no file pops up!not sure what else i can try?
