I was just wondering if its possible to plug my laptop into a TV, just for when watching things like 4OD, I had a look around but couldnt seem to see anything that looked like it would do this. I think my laptop has a monitor out thing so is there anything you can buy to then connect it to a tv?!

Thanks

simple answer.. no

if your lappy only has a monitor output there is no easy way to connect it to a TV (unless you have a new LCD tv with a monitor input)

if it has a TV out it will probably look like this

Aww no it doesnt have one of them, ill just have to carry on watching it on the laptop, thanks for the info!!!!
You can get adaptors to convert just about any signal to anything else nowadays but don't bother.
The reason TVs don't usually take a computer video signal is that when you can, even with adaptors, you'll get a terrible picture. The resolution on normal TVs is far to low.
I have to disagree. I've used a VGA to TV converter similar to http://www.misco.co.uk/applications/SearchTool s/item-details.asp?EdpNo=293940&sourceid=2012 with OK results. (Shop around, though - I'm sure they can be found cheaper). A lot cheaper would be one of these: http://www.oknewshop.com/products/pc-vga-video -out-adapter-vga-to-s-video-composite-Z0058.ht ml?currency=GBP , never used one though.
