Vista Modem / Router Problem

I have recently bought a PC with Vista Home Premuim pre installed on it, however my old modem will not connnect to the internet (Tiscali is the ISP). Tiscali sent me another modem a Thomson Speedtouch 330 but i still cannot get it to access the internet. I have been back to where i bought the PC (PC World) and they downloaded some drivers for me (which did not work) and Tiscali have said it is not their problem. kwicky		(Thu 21:38 29/Mar/07) Why don't you buy a Modem/Router from the PC stores then you can discard your current modem. Before using the wireless setup connect via Ethernet cable which eliminates most of the problems associated with wireless.
