Good Deeds for the Weekend

Anyone done any this weekend? Mine are a bit poor, managed to rescue a "present" of a little mouse/shrew one of the cats brought in yesterday - managed to wrestle the cat out the window only to see the mouse had disappeared from it's mouth and retraced my steps to find it alive on the landing so released it back out into the wild (well, as wild as it gets round here!). Mind you, got a dead one as a present this morning so not much mouse karma there!

Found some out of date (by a week) milk on the shelf in the supermarket earlier and took it to the manager - second time I've found out of date perishables in a week on their shelves, a whole box of meat last time I let them know about - seems the days of working in a supermarket haven't left me haha :) Won a tenner on the lottery though so maybe some good karma there!

Anyone else done any good deeds?

I've been working some of the weekend :-(
I gave the shirt of my back to some poor bookmaker yesterday :0(
I went to see my Nan yesterday in her new care home and helped two elderly people that had accidents.
in cambridge yesterday. an old lady was waiting to cross a side street, no pelican crossing or other such crossing nearby. she was very slow and the traffic was almost solid.

i stepped out and stopped the traffic to allow her to cross.

my god-daughters were touched by the gesture, one of them helped by taking the lady's arm to help
I'm also off out tonight to wish someone a happy birthday .......this will obviously result in me having to drink a gallon or so .

The things I do for my friends. :0)

Aww to Boxtops and Mick! There was overtime on at work this weekend but was too knackered and struggle as it is in this heat, too hot for me.

That's nice Ummm and Excelsior :)
Read this post three times now mulling over my weekend doings. I haven`t done any good deeds this weekend bar visit mum-in-care and that`s not a good deed but a torture done with little grace.
I will try harder next weekend.
slap on wrist or tush, gness.......
gness. that would be, in my book, a good deed. or at the very least - a labour of love
At least you went Gness, some people wouldn't bother :)
Small local town had 3 suicides recently. Spent 3 hours with Samaritans yesterday in their town square handing out information and speaking to people.
Hmmm, I don't think I have done a good deed this weekend, but I haven't done a bad one either! Not done much at all except go camping and had a terrific time in the sun!
that is very true sherrard..............
Tush will be fine DT.

Excel. If my mother and I never set eyes on each other again neither of us would be upset. However, I have the most wonderful brother and I won`t leave looking after her to him so we share it. Sad but true I`m afraid.
does it count as good deed if i restrained from nagging OH al weekend?
Not really. Helped a customer last night who was struggling with a one month old baby. Cooked lunch today for my Mum who came round after I`d come home from working all night and having had one hour`s sleep since yesterday morning when I got up. That`s par for the course though.
my apologies gness.
i'm obviously unaware of the situation between you and your mother.
and i'll not pry into why you feel that way, it is non of my business
Good deed LadyJ? Beatification in my book.
Gness - that's a good deed in itself.
I gave up my lie-in so we could all go to the beach (well, I gave up some of it) - does that count?
