This morning I had a phone call from my friend who comes fortnightly to cut the grass ( can't really call it a lawn!) to ask if he could come to power wash the drive and the patio slabs?
Needed doing badly as I have neglected things since my Minnie passed away a year ago.
So here we are all lovely and clean again - and then he insisted on bringing some plants to brighten the borders.
I can't believe that anyone could be so bothered to make such a difference to my life.
Feel as if I've been adopted!
So it's been a heck of a day and I'm still absolutely overwhelmed.
Thank goodness for all the kind folk in our world
Hope you are all well

Thanks all for you kind thoughts.
To round off this great day, my son Ron came to help me drink my beer - great lad just the sort of company to help me wind down after the euphoria of today.
Add to this an invite to a family party tomorrow evening to celebrate youngest grandson being promoted in his Naval career.
All happening at once - aren't a lucky bloke!
How thoughtful, well done that man.
You've more of a social life than me Jack!
you may feel lucky jack, but it is so nice to read how much you appreciate you're family and friends.

Thanks again for all the interest in my lovely day.
Most days I spend lots of hours on my own but it all seems to be happening at once and I am so grateful.

Goodnight eyeryone - nice of you to call
God bless
Awh, that is so lovely, Jack. Hope you sleep well. x
What a lovely man...xx I mean you Jack :0)
People normally give something back to those who have given in some way. I suspect you are reaping what you have sown. Enjoy!
What a very nice story and a reminder to me that I should be more generous to others.
your friend must think you're a good friend to him otherwise he would not have bothered. pleased to hear from you and glad to know you have been "adopted".
There are some lovely people about in this world and it always cheers me up to see a post from you Jack. You really always seem to have everything in perspective. Have a lovely day today too xxx
