New Mobile Phone

Primarily use my phone for emails and reading the news, looking for a new handset, any recommendations?

I'd recommend the Samsung Galaxy S3 (or the newer S4 although I haven't used it) simply because it's bigger than a lot of phones so I find the screen easy to read.

iphone, yuck, anything but an iphone!! I have had one but now find them too small and fiddly, also I can not be doing with iTunes (thanks though woofgang!!)

I use a windows phone, but probably it's too small for you.

If screen size is a problem I can suggest something like this:
