If a hard drive is making noises your only options are to back up and buy a replacement, there are no user serviceable parts in a modern drive.

Save all the data ASAP on it and buy a new one

You can't refurbish hard disks.
You do realise that hard disks look like this, don't you? http:// And you are not making the all too common mistake of referring to the whole computer as a hard disk?? If so, and the computer is making a lot of noise then most likely is the fans and heat sinks need a blast with compressed air to clear the dust from them if it's really the hard disk making a lot of noise then I'd suggest backing everything up that you want from it ASAP, hard drives making noise is a pretty good indication they are about to fail soon. |

I have opened up dead hard drives and can assure you that they are completely unserviceable.

In addition, hard discs are assembled in a dust-free atmosphere. Impossible to replicate that at home, or even in a computer repair shop.
