Oh dear!
I heard that Tony Blair always fancied Glenys Kinnock..........so there!!!
In fairness, most young people have never heard of Kinnock; it's 25 years since he had the job.
You beat me to it, sqad. I was just about to say perhaps she knows something the rest of us don't. :o)
"In fairness, most young people have never heard of Kinnock; it's 25 years since he had the job."

It is arguable whether he ever had a proper job. But apart from that why, when asked who Mr Kinnock's father was, would one answer "Mr Blair"?
I know one reason why, which has already been hinted at above, but am saying nothing.
Oops
The Chase contestants aren't letting their lights out from under the bushel either.
Favourite response in The Chase the other day 'In which city was the Parthenon built?. Answer 'India'
I swear they must choose the dimmest people re GK on the planet, to be contestants.
One guy yesterday I think, was asked, "where does the Queen spend her summer holiday? Sandringham, Balmoral or Windsor Castle?" His answer was, Sandringham!!!!! I ask you!!!!!!
The young lady just sounds thick to me !
And, if you were asked " who is currently in the charts with September Song" would you know.....AND no googling folks
Charming.
mikey, you never know - 'incest is best, keep it in the Labour family.'
Actually a fair point. I wonder how many people on here could reel off the list of leaders of the Labour Party since its foundation (there are 13)
Not everyone is super intelligent like us Answerbankers.

She wasn't on Mastermind ... she was on Tipping point trying to win a few quid .
exactly, mazie. Some people know some things, other people know other things.
But, but ,but. Do these "younger" people never read a newspaper or listen to the News??
This guy was in his late 30's I would say.
We must all have a different view of what makes folk dim I guess, not knowing where the Queen spends her holidays doesn't fall into that bracket for me.
I'm sorry, Mamya. Maybe "dim" was the wrong word to use. I just don't understand how some facts which are universally known are not, by some people. And that, these people tend to enter, Tipping Point. The questions are easy. In my humble opinion.
