Had mail yesterday and today. Usually only every other day.

Our LATE mail included details of renewing car insurance, at least that's arrived.

None of the usual fan mail though.....

We heard the letter box go at 8pm one night. It was our post.
I said to wife "Must be neighbour who got our post by mistake".
Looked out window and saw postman delivering on other side of the road.
My guess is that if a postman has gone sick, then another picks up the round as overtime.

Renewing car insurance.
Hummm ... Over a period of 5 years, my renewal was always at an inflated price.
The agenda would be ...Go on-line ...get quote as a new customer ...call up insurer and ask them to match this price or goodbye ...they always did.
On average would save £50 to £70.

Our post has gradually got later and later, it's now usually between 2-3pm. I was quite surprised to get a delivery time for my washing machine from John Lewis of between 2 and 9pm..........

Seems to be like that round here, mail delivered by vans, if one driver doesn't turn up for work or trashes his van another driver has to deliver his mail. Never had this happen so late in the day though.

yeah my brothers postman opens letters with discs in them and keeps them.
Often telling the original addressee the viddie was crap

He told me after I had posted ...a computer disc wh neva arrived

4.30PM is the latest we have had our post delivered and that was last week, but some days we don't get any at all.
