I don't see a problem...........everyone is cheered up when they lose.
Crikey !

I bet SAF is quivering with fear..............
I think man u are focusing more on winning the title, the carling cup is a nuisense at the wrong time of the year when they need players to rest.
Who gives a monkey's??? It's a diddy cup which the big teams like Man U ain't even interested in simply because it doesn't even qualify the winner for European competition which is why it's treated with such disdain.
at least they got stuffed
Cheered me up no end to see a good 'ole London team stuff 'em, no matter what team they fielded........and dont think that was'nt a 'strong'sh' team cos it was.......

As the lovely Cazzy says, it is a nuisance at this time of year and putting out an inferior team is risky at best.
I dont think sir alex will be losing sleep over it, let west ham have their moment ;)
Are they playing in legs???
Yogi a slight conradiction there. You really think West Ham could stuff a strong Man U team......rofl.
as cazzz says "I dont think sir alex will be losing sleep over it" he would of fielded a team he thought may win, but as long as his main players are not injured and are fit, he really wont give a monkeys he lost
"Yogi a slight conradiction there. You really think West Ham could stuff a strong Man U team......rofl."

Not a hope on a normal day, crafty.....but agree with steg.....all Sir A's main players are rested, and unhurt so probably glad out of the cup so he can concentrate on the important stuff........but yes, it was nice to see WHU have their moment.....biggest loss MAN UTD to them in something like 80 years. :0) x
.....oh, and stop rolling around on the floor, you naughty minx.....i'm having a 'Reggie Perrin' moment......:0) x
Over more recent years SAF has always used the league cup as a stepping stone for the younger players to develop as a team and although it doesn't always work well for them stepping into 'limelight' as it were (not just reserves) it really isn't a great loss to the team that United are knocked out of it at this stage.

Well done to West Ham. (I hope they win it!)
in my eyes they should be fined to the same extent of WOLVES last year and BLACKPOOL this year for not putting out a full team.
i just feel as its MAN U, it will be swept under the carpet as usual.
When I heard the news I... - R O F L M A O

well done WHU

jem
It might not mean a lot to SAF and the rest of the team but I feel sorry for the fans who had paid for their ticket to watch a second rate team.
They probably couldn't afford to pay them??? - A bit like Plymouth Argyle down here who are seeking a white knight. Not only are the players not being paid, but also the back room staff have had no wages for a month , and for these folk, there will be a lot of pain to bear.
United's team last night might not have been their strongest XI but it still contained 7 full internationals

The Carling Cup is always bottom of Fergie's priorities so I'm sure he won't be losing too much sleep over it
