Poor David Moyes? He's leaving with £38 million for his troubles.
Moyes out - Giggs in.

At least it guarantees years of success away from home.
LOL ^
I'm not an expert in football in any way, shape or form but one thing has always puzzled me. Why is it always the manager who gets the sack when things don't go well? What about the players, trainers etc etc. Do they not get any of the flack - or the boot?
I agree, mags.

The players are rubbish, and the manager carries the can.
\\\\the players are rubbish, and the manager carries the can.\\\

The same "rubbish" players that won the Championship by a mile last season..........odd?
It is odd Sqad - if they were so great one year, what happened to them? They are the same players, have the same trainers etc so just what went wrong. Surely it can't all be down to just one man?

Well, the manager is the only aspect that has changed to account for the decline.
In fact i take your point.........the players must take "some " of the blame.
Well, the manager is the only aspect that has changed to account for the decline.

That is incorrect, sqad. The whole backroom staff was new.
LOL....OK Roy....
Back in February, Moyes said that he was solely responsible for a defeat at that time, it wasn't the players fault (I posted about it at the time); someone who comes out with statements like that can't be surprised if they are the fall-guy after further defeats.
You may well scoff, sqad. But I do think if Moyes had left Steve Round, Jimmy Lumsden and Phil Neville at Everton and kept the established Man u backroom intact they would have faired much better.

That said, Moyes was still 'The Chosen Wrong'

Well I for one am quite sad about this - if we'd have wanted a short term fix to replace Sir Alex we should have gone for Jose (he asked enough) But such is the way with the modern game
We now need to look for a replacement. I know his name won't be mentioned but I would like to see Gary Neville on the list of candidates - he won't be but I would still like to see it there

For various reasons this has to be the worst season I can remember for a long time

why was mike phelan never offered the job in the 1st place,he was running the team i'd give him the job and get back all the backroom staff who had been there years!
Whatever way you look at this it just shows how great Sir Alex was
Ferguson is partly to blame.
Still laughing................!!!
where you been Dave missed you on here!
I don't understand the fuss about Moyes being terrible. Why does no one give him credit for his consistency as a manager which is an important attribute... After all he always guided Everton to 6th-7th place in the league.
