Has there ever been any concrete evidence ( apart from teachings of various prophets/Christ etc.) that an afterlife/rebirth exists ? And if not - why do billions believe in one?

Le Chat, Sorry, I'm confused. You say you're agnostic and then you say there was perhaps a specific purpose in Suzy Lamplugh's death, so do you believe that she was murdered by design, and if so, who orchestrated her death? (Incidentally, I was going to say my ex-husband would be a zero on your scale, but since Waldo's volunteered himself for that one, and he doesn't seem to be anything like my ex-husband, have you got a minus scale to offer?). :o)
Many people, it seems, (and not just those who claim a religious faith) automatically assume that 'heaven' or 'hell' is involved in the survival of the soul, thereby linking that to the biblical God, or to Satan, but why should that be? Do all spirits exist together in some special celestial (or otherwise!) place? I don't believe so - but then I don't believe in the biblical God or Satan either.

I'm simply refusing to be on Le Chat's preposterous scale at all, Naomi, not implying I'm somehow lower that a level 1.

Yes, I realise that - hence the smile.

Yes I am agnostic, boardering on atheiest, it doesn't mean that my belief is religion based!
Waldo, I have a personal example about what I am on about but as I am ill at the moment, I haven't got the will.
Just because it's my opinion doesn't make it right - as with yours.
