I missed my dental appointment today. It was just a check up, and somehow I got it into my head that it was tomorrow. God knows why because I know my dentist only works on a Tuesday and a Thursday.

I feel so stupid. And really guilty.

I'm going to have to phone the surgery tomorrow and grovel.

You'll be fine(d) :-(
all you can do. With any luck, your dentist won't actually be reduced to penury. Mine never has been when I've missed appointments.
I hope it's not like my dentist where they fine you for missed appointments
Mind you , last year I dragged Youngest Junior Overall out of school for an opticians appointment. We arrived early - a day too early in fact

It's entirely my own fault. Only discovered it when Mr P had a look in the diary for something.

I can't believe I did that. My dentist is such a darling too, I hate to have let him down.

I will now punish myself and feel guilty until I speak to him tomorrow. And probably beyond that too.

if there's any punishment to be done I'm sure he'll do it
Ouch, jno
Brass neck it. Turn up on Thursday and act daft :-)

jno, I am now thinking of the film Marathon Man where the dentist drilled into the nerves of every tooth in the guys mouth to get him to talk,
I will have nightmares tonight

I'm not even pressing play on that, jno!

a grovelling apology is necessary, that two minute check up has cost your dentist twenty quid
Question Author
I know that I've cost him money. I've never done anything like that before and I do feel terrible. I fully expect to pay for my appointment as normal.
Dentist usually ring the day before to confirm the appointment chew or false that's the question ,don't get down in the mouth about it .What did he extract you to do arrive hours late .
First offence, he'll let you off xx
