Just a question Father-Ted you weren't on holiday in Turkey last May were you?
I'm just curious because I met a great guy there holidaying with his family with the same name, probably not the same guy but just wondered.
LM FAO! Oh Keyplus you posted an uncyclopaedia link- that's totally fecking priceless. 'EPIC FAIL' as my kids would say.
Keyplus, as said above, your verses which you claim forbid alcohol do not. They are against drinking to excess, getting drunk.
One in is from St Paul and one from Proverbs. Devout Jews know the second and devout Christians know the first. If there was any prohibition on taking alcohol anywhere in the bible they would not consume it in their rituals, but they do and did in Christ's time and since..
Priests drink. Have you not seen Father Ted? Drink drink drink.

Ballykissangel is another programme showing a priest drinking..

Church goers would be up in arms if alcohol was forbidden and programmes showed their priests in the pub, having a pint.
Vetuste - ////I don’t think you’re going to satisfy me on any of these points, are you. Why not, I wonder?////

I don’t really need to satisfy you or any others here. You may keep on believing what you like to believe in. It is very historical that Islam erased slavery centuries before others could even think about it. Islam is the only religion where within a period of few years a freed black African slave became leader of the people who used to be his masters. It’s not only that, amazing thing was that his ex-masters acted upon his decisions and respected him as their leader. His name was Bilal Ibne Rabah. And his name is a proof that Islam got rid of two of the biggest stigmas in one go, slavery and racism.

Dave – So you did spot the website, so you are not that thick then, perhaps you believe in the justice system of your own country that judged against the lies of your hero. But I would not be surprised if you would not agree with the decisions of the court as well.

Nox – Don’t forget you have to give me my posts that your intelligent and moderate Muslim friends did not like.
Fred – So it is Ok to drink and not to get drunk. Fine by me and does not hurt me at all at least directly. So please keep drinking. But I am afraid many aren’t doing that are they? Or you do not read news? Here you go, have your pick.

So you've finally admitted that alcohol is not forbidden in Christianity?

That you got it wrong?
You make huge long posts in the hope that you will confuse the reader.

Thick? If I was as thick as you I wouldn't be able to turn on a tap.

Post a site as fact and then try to pretend it was a "trick"

You have lost all credibility you have shown yourself to be a charlatan and liar. You are without any honour. You patronise all of us like we are idiots, you post things that you make up and expect people to accept them as facts.

I suspect that in real life you area pathetic, social inept person, laughed at by your peers and you think you are some sort of big man. This thread has shown without doubt who you are and what you are.
But they are allowed to lie to infidels Dave according to taqiyya and kitman, this is why Islam is so insidious, I would trust it as far as I could throw it - is that blasphemous?
I'm prepared to welcome generous acts by whomever and from wherever, Keyplus, but the manumission of a black slave has nothing to do with my questions.
As you refuse to answer my questions I'll do it for you, leaving you the easier task of telling me where I'm wrong.
I asked what you might expect if the link you supplied was an accurate account of early Islam:

1. Verses in the Koran which state Allah’s will to end slavery (at some future time) as stated in the above article;
VE: there are none.
2. Verses in the Koran asserting a slave’s right to avoid the humiliation (which Islam came to liberate her from) of forced sexual congress with her master;
VE: there are none.
3. If not the manumission of existing slaves, at least the cessation by Mohammed and his followers of the enslavement and humiliation of more women.
VE: the "prophet" and his followers continued to murder, rape and enslave as before (source: the Haddith passim).

And a propos of nothing (again). Guy's always good value for money. So why is Botham more likely to be the liar than Khan apart from your wish for it to be so (I don't know anything about the case and have no axe to grind either way)?
it's still going, is this some sort of record.
Yes em, and he hasn't got one convert yet.
i have tried going back over the whole thing, then realised i would be here till doomsday, so gave up.
Brenden OK that alright then

Keyplus last post i'm not going to massage your ego

Last word on Botham posted this month:

From a far more creditable source than yours, how often could I say that about the mirror.
Keyplus, there are still muslim slave traders in Africa.
Keyplus is clearly ignoring me as well as Birdie. Can’t think why. ;o)
Keyplus, could you give me some examples of Christian slave traders.....or Christian Harems.

How about Prince Jefri of Brunei - now here is a model of Muslim fortitude and an iconic example to the faithful.

DT, oh deary, deary me! You’re not going to make yourself popular. :o)

Keyplus cites Christianity as having the worst record for sexual discrimination, his reason being, as far as I can ascertain, is that nuns and priests (of the Catholic church – but I’m not sure he realises that) are not allowed to marry. At the same time he advocates Islam’s penchant for male domination over women, including arranged marriages and wife beating. If anyone can make sense of that, or see any logic in it, I’d be grateful if you would explain it to me.
^^ I meant to add something to that last night. If neither nuns or priests are allowed to marry, which seems to be Keyplus' reason for nominating Christianity, where's the sexual discrimination? The same rules apply to both sexes.
Wife beating with a toothbrush, Naomi....!!!
Ahhh, yes. Thanks Ummmm. Now it makes sense. ;o)
