Many persons know about God. They may live in communities where most citizens claim to believe that he exists. But does this mean that they really know God? Well, there is a difference in knowing about the ruler of the country where one lives and in having a personal acquaintance with him. So, too, with knowing God.

Elderman, why on earth do you think people read your posts because they feel guilty? Is that how the bible warps your mind, you see guilt everywhere, try some lighter reading, I recommend Darwin for a start.
Elderman, enough of the pompous and selfrighteous stuff please, I'm sure you have enough concience for all of us.
Guilty for what?
Of course JWs use the bible. It can be used to support or contradict virtually any point anyone makes. Another reason that anyone with any intelligence should renounce it as Anything but the ramblings of a control freak.

Like I’ve said before – you can’t see what is under your noses!
Not without a mirror.
Elderman when you say that they can't see what's under their noses, are you implying that your threads are just a wind-up? That it was they appear to be to me.
Default position - variety A......reboot then order from JW overseer; "Go and find some other cut and paste quotes to torment those natsy AB heathens.Off with you Elderman"

"Yes JW big cheese - I will do this immediately."
OK. Elderman you've had your fun you can tell us what is under your nose, there is a moustache under mine by the way.

DT.........There is nothing in the life or teaching of Jesus that would suggest people are to be nasty. But you are.
> There is nothing in the life or teaching of Jesus that would suggest people are to be nasty.

Jesus asked for anyone who didn't believe in him to be brought to him and killed.
I'm pretty sure Thera something about not suffering fools tho.
Thanks for proving my earlier point Mark.
Elderman you lose any last vestige of credibility when you keep trotting out you cant see what is under your noses. If you dont have anything new to say why keep repeating this meaningless comment.

Mark....... <<Jesus asked for anyone who didn't believe in him to be brought to him and killed.>>
It would be interesting to see where that is. Obviously you don’t know anything about the Bible.
Jesus did say to one of his disciples that he who uses the sword will perish by the sword – and that is true for those who go to war or who use violence. Jesus taught his true followers to love their neighbour and you will not find any True Christian using violence or taking part in any kind of conflict.- read Luke 10 v 27.
>> Jesus asked for anyone who didn't believe in him to be brought to him and killed.

> It would be interesting to see where that is. Obviously you don’t know anything about the Bible.

"But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them - bring them here and kill them in front of me." Luke 19:27

You'd have thought such a devout Christian as you would have better knowledge of the gospels...
Elderman, can't you bring yourself to love DT just a teensy bit instead of saying nasty things about him. I'm sure we would all like to see christian charity in action ...NOW!

Mark:..... Again you show your ignorance. This was a parable given by Jesus. . But in the parable’s fulfilment most of the Jews said: ‘We will not have this man Jesus Christ to rule as king over us.’ In an attempt to prevent his becoming king over them, the Jews condemned him to death and handed him over to the Roman authorities of Jerusalem to be killed by slow death on a torture stake.

Even after Jesus Christ ascended to the “distant land” of God’s heavenly presence, his own earthly people, the Jews, continued to show their hatred of him by persecuting his faithful followers. Thus they further let God know that they did not want his noble Son to become king over them.

Nevertheless, there are not only Jewish enemies to God’s kingdom under his Messiah, but also enemies in all other nations of the world of mankind. These also refuse the Kingdom message of Christ’s followers and persecute them. They prefer the political rulerships by men of this world, including the United Nations organization
Ah, of course! The Christian "get-out clause": anything Jesus said which we don't like is a parable.

jomifl............ Interesting isn’t it. You here can say whatever you like to me, call me all kinds of names, yet when I object and say one of you is being nasty – I’m in the wrong. No justice here! But I take much delight in the fact that very soon there will be True Justice administered by the government I support.
