Have any of you ABers been involved in any of the above? What are your views on it? Is it a form of satanism or is it all about angels and spirit guides?.

The invisible and the non existent look very much alike.

Its a form of bogeyman scare tactics.

What a load of old tripe, I find these people that charge for these services scandalous con artist who pick on the vulnerable, they make my blood boil!!!!
I don't believe in them personally!.....just would never visit one!.........waste of time and cash!..........if they had any powers they would be winning the lottery!..............
My grandmother was a medium and used to help the local police find missing people. As a child she would frighten me to death when she would involuntarily go off into a trance - grey face, shaking hands, staring eyes. Hated it. When she died I thought her "gift" might jump out of her and in to me. Was relieved a week or so later to realise that it hadn't.
Ladybirder, the special effects they come up with are amazing aren't they :-)
I dont think its satanism...ive visited a few people, enjoyed it, and will continue to do so, it fascinates me x
It is just a bit of light-hearted fun. Don't get serious about it and only spend your money if you can laugh it off. You'll never get a straight answer.

Think about it.... if anyone could really communicate with spirits and foretell the future, don't you think they'd be employed by the govt. to save them millions.

For the gullible it can be a frightening and terrorising experience to sit in on a seance.

Thanks for the answers guys but I am interested in people who have sat in circles and what were their experiences?
"is it a form of satanism........" - Perlease, it's a form of total cobblers!

There's an easy million bucks available for anyone who can show even the slightest "psychic" ability under lab conditions, guess what it's still there! Now you'd think that a real psychic would pick up the million rather than conning the simple out of pin money wouldn't you?
Oh dear. Can I add that my lovely grandmother never took a penny off anyone.
Ladybirder ... there's is a big "occult" culture round here, isn't there.
Well JJ is there anything that doesn't happen in Brighton? One of its many attractions I think.
Yes.
what doesn't happen in Brighton then?
I have been thinking of going to one since losing mommy as I am still not in a very good place and need answers to things but am not sure I am strong enough yet.
My nephew recently took his own life (gosh, it was two years ago) and his mom went to see a medium and she found it hugely comforting and was told things that nobody else would have known.
I became obsessed with watching all the mediums on TV for a long time after mommy and recently started watching them again but have forced myself to stop now as it wasn't doing me any good really and just making my personal situation worse.

Not sure yet quite what I shall do but will be sure to let you know if I do go!
I used to be a Medium but am a Large now.
Read Dennis Wheatley's books when young and "The Devil Rides Out" scared me stiff. Later as a student in London we frequently " raised the devil". The worst thing that happened was being hauled up before the beak at Bow Street for "drunk and disorderly"
I took part in a ouija board session once. We succeeded in spelling out a name, that of the most self obsessed person present. Amazing!
its all [email protected] bother scorning me as Doris Stokes is going to do it personally.NOT!
its all [email protected] gullible fools
if you want to test the weejy board theory mark the letter cards on the back with numbers by someone who cannot touch the glass
turn the letter cards upside down and see how good a speller casper is
dont bother moaning about it to me as Doris Stokes is coming personally tonight to complain.NOT!
