Ordering something over the phone today when the woman told me that said item would be delivered on Thursday.

Then she confirmed that would be the 9th of May.

My wedding anniversary.

I'd completely forgotten!

Is it a terrible thing to not really bother with your wedding anniversary? Mr P and I do observe the anniversary of the day we got together, so it's not like we are completely void of sentiment.

it's not terrible at all

if you are both happy with that arrangement, then there is no problem

---happy anniversary from me---
It certainly wouldn't have occurred to me either.
No, not terrible at all.
Some years I forget, other years Mr Alba forgets, we're happy (ish)

We get a few raised eyebrows if we say that we don't bother with it. We were together for 9 years before we married and do make an effort on the anniversary of our getting together.

In fact my mum usually sends us a card and it tends to sit all alone on the mantlepiece!
We remember ours - it was yesterday - we had such a wonderfully happy wedding day that it always gives us great pleasure to remember it :-)
We always remember it in some way, now we are on our 54th and counting we tend not to make a big deal of it. On our 50th we went to Tenerife for two weeks with our family and friends. Last year we had a Chinese takeaway at home just the two of us.
We just say happy birthday / anniversary / christmas.

I think some people tend to assume that we have an unhappy marriage because we don't make a fuss.

Mr P has suggested getting a take away tomorrow night, but I think that's more to do with my cooking!
