I only ever used balsarwood once, to make a barometer at school in the juniors, we had to build a box thing and we had to buy a small plastic oil can (empty) what were we making? Anyone else in Mr Cromptons class 2A2 at Ormskirk Greetby Hill in 1964?

Ha ha ......it is a bit of a search ..but I'm sure a modelmaker will turn up shortly ! Failing that I'll just have to knit away on my own ! Do you think there are any flint knappers or saggermakers bottom knockers out there :)

Please shaneystar, what are saggermakers bottom knockers ? I've met the flint knappers - well not personally - but the other or should that be others ?????? btw I enjoy most hand crafts, esp. wool embroidery, lace making, making rosettes for horse shows - can't watch TV without doing something with my hands - if I try, it usually means chocolate - not good !!! |
