I was the innocent party in a head on RTA back in July last year. I hit the other vehicle at 50-55 mph when it pulled out in front of me. The other party has admitted liability and I have been paid out for loss of earnings but as I am self employed it was only for a short period of time. I did not at the time suffer any serious injury but as time has gone on my pain and discomfort has got worse. I have had 12 sessions of physio which only temporarily helped and did not make a great difference. My insurance company has so far been great and has not cost me a penny. I am a self employed national courier and regularly travel to Scotland and London and back again in the same day and can easily cover 500 miles in a day. I suffer greatly with neck pain, lower back weakness and pain and upper left arm weakness and pain. I can not walk far, can not lift and carry much, can not stand for long, infact hardly anything. My doctor wants me to finish my job as she says I am only making things worse with all the driving but she does not understand this is my living and I could barely do anything else anyway. This is now over seven months since the accident and I am due to see a specialist next month. If he is of the same view that I have to give my job up, could someone please advise what my chances are of getting a better compensation figure than what I was originally offered which was 1,500 several months ago which I turned down. This whole episode is depressing me no end. Any advice would be greatfully received. Thanks

If the other side accepts liability and if medical reports support the view that you need to give up work and this is all down to the accident then you will certainly get a lot more than 1500!
You need a solicitor as you should be claiming five figures or six figures (depending on your age), although it may take several years to settle
