Ps any ideas would be appreciated xx

Funnily enough, I looked up mens shirts on eBay only an hour ago. There were over 143,000 listed!... Cut them up. ;-)
They might be good for patchwork. OR
Cut off collars and cuffs and make into nightshirts maybe. |
Another idea, bunting!
Cut off the collars, make them into grandad shirts or nightshirts
Hey Sibton, great minds .... ;-)
oops, didn't see you tenrec :-)
No worries, Sibton. Another idea would be lavendar bags. It's the right time of year (I think) for lavendar.

Do you have a mannequin? Messing about with fabrics in various ways on a mannequin was my favourite way to design. I miss doing fashion!! :|

I dont, but mabye i could get one from the one & only ebay!
TOTAL novice erin. Just footering about tbh xx |
You should definitely get one then! Get one of the pretty one's that you can just have on show when you're not using it. I've got a black satin one, very nice! I just used to borrow one from college for my proper fashion work :-)

I've got a boring beige one, but it usually has something lovely on. My OH tends to hang football shirts on it sometimes too!
Maybe cut them shorter and make a tie bit at the bottom(would help narrow the width as well, especially if a low slung tie as is in at the moment), make them sleveless and you could add something more girly to the sleeves like a lace trim and maybe change the buttons.
You could also girly up the collar, take the collar off and trim it with something. |
I have one of my garments from college on mine, along with my homemade Mad Hatter hat! It's a funky combination! Lol!
Depending on the types of shirt, maybe make into a waistcoat and line.
If you wanted to do something for charity then perhaps something along the lines of
http://www.littledressesforafrica.org/blog/ dresses from pillowcases, but I'm sure shirts will work ok and to use up little pieces then many of the charities accept washable S.T.s which are scarce in many parts of Africa |
